Artwork Preparation
We use digital images in our printing process. We will need a high-quality, high-resolution image to work with. Use the following as guidelines, but keep in mind that there may be extenuating factors in your job. Ask us if you have any questions!

For Computer-Based Images:
RGB or CMYK TIFF files will provide excellent results, provided the images are large enough (150 MB+ is a good place to start), and of sufficient quality; RGB is preferred over CMYK. Macintosh and PC formats are supported. We accept images in the following format:

  • Adobe Photoshop Tiff, PSD or EPS

If your files have clipping paths or layers for objects or sections, please don't remove them! These paths make isolating part of the image much easier when color balancing image.

We can accept images on the following media: Zip disk, CD, or Jaz disk. Other formats may be arranged on an as needed basis, although additional set-up charges may apply. Internet transfers are also available, check with us for details.

For Transparencies (Slides, Negatives, Etc.):
The larger the better—an 8" x 12", non-halftoned transparency will provide excellent results, as will medium-format film sizes, such as 6cm x 7cm, or 6cm x 4.5cm. A 35 mm slide or negative may work adequately for many images; contact us and we will advise you. Please limit materials to 11" x 17", we cannot scan larger materials.

For Reflective Media (Photographs, Original Artwork, Etc.):
Again the larger the better-to a point.
